ONI’s mission is to prevent child malnutrition from the prenatal stage and to recover early childhood girls and boys who suffer from it and are in a context of food poverty. This is accomplished through the training of families, the provision of food supplements and nutritional supervision to promote a well-nourished childhood with the capacity to develop fully. Since 2014 the Borges-Coppel Foundation has invested in a project with them through which 1,440 individual food supplement formulas are distributed on monthly basis; each allowance has 21 envelopes with 3 daily intakes, feeding an average of 300-500 children in the states of Jalisco, Nayarit and semi-urban areas of Guerrero.
